Watermelon 'Sangria'

Readers of tenthsquare know that rose wine is currently having a moment, so when a summer party (details later this week) needs a fabulous summer drink, I knew exactly what I had to do. Enter this amazing watermelon 'sangria,' which was so easy to make and even easier to drink.

Basically all you need is 3 bottles of rose wine, 1 bottle of champagne, and 1 half of a watermelon. Easy right? The night before you would like to indulge, cut the watermelon into chunks, leaving the rind on (makes it easier to eat later). Then pour the bottles of rose in.
Let this all soak together in your fridge for at least 6 hours. On party day, go ahead and pour the champagne in and stir together.

Then enjoy--responsibly. Maybe even make a double batch, this stuff goes fast!
